Traditionally, hydrocarbon combustion in engines has involved certain problems such as non-burnt particle accumulation on the surfaces where the ignition of the fuel-air mixture takes place with the resulting drawbacks that causes. Fuels can experience polymerisation or even coking at high temperatures, preventing its use in conventional atomisation or combustion systems. Consequently, liquid fuels need additives or catalysts that improve their atomisation and nebulisation characteristics, contributing to a more efficient burn.

These problems aggravate with a water inflow in the deposit or storage tanks of the fuel. Water favours the oxidation of the stored fuel and the tank.

Solutions

Fuel Saver – MT 177

Fuel Saver aditivo para combustible

Fuel additive for diesel and biodiesel in service stations and similar facilities. Saves fuel and minimises emissions.

BENEFITS OF THE PRODUCTS

Fuel Saver – MT 177 presents the following characteristics:

  • Prevents obstructions in nozzles and injectors
  • Long-term improvements in maintenance
  • Saves on fuel consumption
  • Increases up 2% the thermal performance of the fuel and reduces the emissions down to 20%
  • Reduction of the flow loss of the injector
  • Compatible with Biodiesel
  • Ecodesigned product

Fuel Saver Plus – MT 104-COM

MT104_1120x200

The use of the Fuel Saver Plus – MT 104-COM as a fuel additive provides clear benefits. Its use is suitable for diesel.

BENEFITS OF THE PRODUCTS

The Fuel Saver Plus – MT 104-COM presents the following characteristics:

  • Prevents obstructions in nozzles and injectors
  • Long-term improvements in maintenance
  • Saves on fuel consumption (more information on “Reduction of consumption and emissions”)
  • Thermal performance of the fuel is increased and emissions are reduced due to the obtaining of cleaner and less reactive combustion products (more information on “Reduction of consumption and emissions”)
  • Easy, practical and economical use
  • Quick and clean filling of tanks thanks to the antifoaming action (more information on “Foaming control”)
  • Anticorrosive action with A/B++/B+ classification (under ASTM D665A and ASTM D665B tests)
  • Reduction of loss of flow of the injector
  • Compatible with Biodiesel

REDUCTION OF CONSUMPTION AND EMISSIONS

The injectors of the vehicle suffer a loss of flow as a result of the deposits that form. This will take a direct impact on the efficiency of the combustion and will entail an increase of the fuel consumption and emissions.

The charts below show the results of the research carried out on the active ingredients of the product regarding consumptions and emission reductions (ECE-15 test)

FOAMING CONTROL

All diesels have a natural tendency of creating foam when poured in the vehicle tank. An excessive foaming can lead to mechanical problems and spills at the service station can result in environmental problems.

The addition of a small amount of an antifoaming agent reduces significantly the previously mentioned problems.

An NFM 07-075 test has been carried out to analyse the nature of foaming at different concentrations of the active ingredient of the Fuel Saver Plus – MT 104-COM. Two types of fuels were object of this analysis: a reference diesel in Europe (CEC RF93-T-95) and a diesel with low sulphur concentrations. The results are shown in the following chart:
